Dr. Faisal Al-Faqeer joined Sadara Chemical Company as Chief Executive Officer in October 2017, bringing with him over 23 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, having previously led different functions in within Aramco, including in Engineering Consulting Services, Research and Development, Refining and Gas Operations. Manager of Ras Tanura Refinery, a complex refinery with a capacity of 550 thousand barrels per day, making it the largest refinery in the Middle East. He also previously led the Engineering and Operations Departments in the Refinery, where he was responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the assets, meeting the production commitment and managing major refinery upgrades. Prior to joining Ras Tanura Refinery, he led Aramco Research and Development Center where he was responsible for establishing different research satellite centers in North America and Europe. Dr. Faisal holds a Master’s Degree and a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Massimiliano joined Sadara Chemical Company as Chief Financial Officer in July, 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience spanning almost 20 years in the finance and petrochemical industries. In his new role, Massimiliano plays a key role in the continued growth of Sadara, serving as an integral and strategic member of its senior management team, and is primarily responsible for the management of the company's present and future financial position, and building a strong and capable financial team to support the company's business and operations. He most recently served as senior finance director with Dow Chemical for Sadara, beginning in 2011, where he has been directly involved in managing the financial activities of the Aramco-Dow JV. He was also instrumental in the execution of the Sadara joint venture formation in 2010, when he was serving as Dow's Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for the EMEA region. Prior to that, in 2008, Massimiliano was appointed Global Finance Director for Styrenics as well as the Hydrocarbons & Energy Finance Director for the EMEA region. This dual role included leading the restructuring of Dow's Styrenics portfolio globally, as well as managing the Dow petrochemical portfolio in EMEA. Massimiliano has held a number of other leadership roles in Europe during his time with Dow , which began when he joined the company in Milan, Italy in 1998 after beginning his career in trading and portfolio management at HSBC in 1995. Massimiliano holds an MBA in Business Administration, specializing in Financial Markets from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
